Characters (type)

The basis of all decks are the characters. They are the “combatants” of the arena for you and for your enemy. Make sure to put plenty of them in your decks, as you definitely do not want to run out!

Characters are placed, in the virtual “arena”, in one of the 5 character slots on the board. The placement of the characters does not matter, as the enemy can attack you from any slot, and likewise, you can attack the enemy from any of your character slots.

Character cards contain the following:

  • Action Point Cost (or APs)
  • Character Name/Title – Top of each card
  • Rarity (represented by the colored gem in the center of each card)
  • Attack value
  • Health or Hit Points value
  • (optional) Activatable Abilities – that can be activated during your turn. Usually cost AP’s to use them.
  • Faction icon (lower-left of each card)
  • Set icon (middle far-right icon, A = Alpha, B = Beta, etc.)
  • Ability Status Icons – Some cards will also have circular symbols on them that represent ability status, such as T for Taunt (top-right corner, when active), F for Fury (middle left-side, when active), and T for Trample (mid-top, left side, when active). A few other statuses will be represented on the card this way, in the future.
